I've been running two URI 48" VHO's on an Icecap 660. The bulbs are about a month old. The ballast is about two years old. Today when I came home form work they were out. I fiddled with them a bit. Now what they do is come on for a brief second when fired then go out. Anyone send this before? Can some one suggest the best way to troubleshoot the setup?

Thanks!

I am sure that the bulbs are new, not used... ... you might try some normal output bulbs to make sure that it isn't a bulb issue.

Check the connections at the pins for corrosion. Make sure that the ground between the ballast and the reflector next to the bulbs is good, and not corroded as well. Check the ground between the ballast and the outlet and make sure that all the grounds are interconnected. If it continues, email chris or Andy at Icecap or check the forum at RC) and ask them for more info, but you'll prolly end up sending the ballast in if therer isn't a connection/grounding/bulb problem. They are great about having a minimal turnaround time if you have to send the ballast in.
