Hey guys. So i am trying to figure out the best way that I am going to mount three AI Sol fixtures parellel instead of the normal way on the stock mounting rails. You guys got any simple and easy ideas to mount three fixtures parallel to the tank?

I used T track like used in woodworking to make fixtures and jigs.

By mounting a couple pieces front to back, it gave me freedom of movement both front to back and side to side so I am able to adjust the two fixtures for best coverage. I can provide more info on nuts and bolts etc. if you are interested and I think I did a write up at the time on a couple of the forums.

Yeah i would like that info. Also, how could i work this out so I can hang this from the ceiling with the ai sol hanging kit or some other way? You have yours under a hood, unless you think it is hetter to make one of those?

I considered hanging mine and eliminating the canopy but I hate all the light in the room. It looks like an arc welder is going and makes it hard to watch televison or do other things. The LED is not as bad as the MH and VHO was but it still lights a room up.

I have seen people make a bracket using electrical conduit sweeps and connectors that looked pretty nice though when mounted to the back of the stand. Others I have seen used aircraft cable and hooks in the ceiling to accomplish the same thing.

I used T-track also. I built a frame and mounted the lights paralell and then added two 60" T5 retros to add a little more of the red spectrum that the sols seem to lack.

Very nice and I understand the t-track idea. My biggest concern is mounting them from the ceiling. Kyuss, are your hanging from the ceiling, I cannot really tell... I don't know what to do about that part yet?

Correction: I mean is your frame hanging?

Sanzz, yes the frame is suspended from the ceiling. I actually used the cables from the AI hanging kit. When I get home I will take a picture and post it for ya.

Thanks man, please do so because I really like your setup. Setting theses lights up are the biggest concern I have for my 125 build coming up.
