We have a new tank established. We had put some fish in it. Then we added a Chocolate Chip Star and a Cleaner Shrimp. After two days we did not see this Chocolate Chip Star anymore. My wife and I were getting nervous so we looked through the tank, we moved things it could be hiding in, behind, or around. No Star anyway. Are they prone to crawling out of tanks, or burying themselves in the gravel, or just becoming invisible? Checked outside and around the tank and can't find him there either. We are beginners with a salt water tank with 5 fish, damsels and cardinal fish, all under two inches. So we don't really think anyone would have ate him. We have two big conch sp? shells in there, with the open ends up. Two coral stones and a plastic back wall cave decoration that we looked inside of and he is not in there. And 3 plants, not in there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 75 gallon tank.

Starfish can hide pretty well sometimes, all though Chocolate Chip Stars stay out in the open alot, and they wont craw out of a tank, give it some time it may show up again. And like Petunia already said, they will eat some corals.

Clarification

We don't have any live coral in the tank, just coral shaped rocks. Sorry for the confusion.

The Lost is Found

We saw her this morning. Glad nothing happened to her. She's back in hiding again. Thanks.
