Did you do anything to cause the split? Make any recent changes that might have triggered it?
I've heard lots of feeding, moon cycles, sudden changes in water movement, stretching the foot of the anemone, etc. I've tried all, except the last (not exactly sure how to stretch the foot of an anemone ) with no luck.
