Hey all, I finally decided to join this forum, you all are great for answering questions, well I got a yellow tang just about five days ago and he has a lump on his back, I'm not sure what it is and I have searched every where to figure it out, I tired to take a picture of him, but he hides, a lot! Any ideas? he's about 3 inches, bright yellow, lively, no heavy breathing, and he eats pretty well. My other fish is fine, and the chemical levels in the tank are all green.

Thanks for all your input!

Not sure what it maybe, Even if I saw a picture I still may not be able to help, I think so long as he is still eating and looks good maybe it's nothing to worry about. I have seen some really ugly messed up fish before that lived for many years. I'm talking people didn't want to keep them they where so ugly, LOL

welcome to TRT!:wavey:

i agree that as long as he's acting like a happy fish, not scraping himself on things, eating well, staying active, it's probably nothing that you can do anything about...even if it's a fatal condition, it probably isn't contagious...just keep an eye on him and if u get a pic give everyone a second shot to chime in.
