Time is drawing near for our big get together. With the departure of Alice (sniffle) Steve's awesome tank, and hopefully some great lunch, we are already approaching 40 guests!

I would like to personally extend my thanks to everyone who has already taken the time to respond to the evite. I am not sure how many of you have ever tried to cook a meal for 40+ people, but coordinating the food, equipment, and time for preparation is a big job. Getting as acurate as possible a head count is essential to making sure things go smoothly.

That said, tomorrow I will be spending the day travelling to about a dozen different locations from which I will be procuring the food for the barbeque. I will be compiling my shopping lists and making sure that the shop owners will have the things that we will need in stock for pick up next Friday and Saturday.

Soooo, if you haven't taken the time yet to respond to the evite, please take a moment to do so if you can. Steve and I will be getting together this Saturday to discuss my findings and to work out final logistics, so the more acurate we can get on the number of people showing up the better.

We have over 40 evites still unreplied to, and I hope we can get even more folks to come join us... but I also want to make sure that on the 29th when you all show up that there is pleanty of great food for everyone.

p.s. be sure to note any extra folks you are bringing with you in the number of guests section... spouses, significant others, and kids etc. are welcome to be sure, but I want to make sure I have vittles for them too.

hey have you ckecked out cash & carry United grociers for supplies( frome the meat to the paper plates)? Tell them it is a non profit thing and see if they can't help you on the price... My husband is the manager up in olympia and does this for people up there alll the time!!!

to those asking, thank you for your offers for help. my helpers and i have gotten things pretty much buttoned up on our end.

also to those asking about what they need to bring, the answer is nothing! steve and i are working to make sure that everything will be there and awaiting your arrival.

the current count stands at 49. i am about 90% done with my shopping at this point.

please if you still have not replied to your evite, send me an email directly tonight, as i am doing my final purchasing tomorrow, and i do not want to leave anyone out.

also if you have any serious food alergies, please let me know now so that i can be sure and label all of the stuff as to their contents so nobody goes into anaphalactic shock over my cuisine. this includes specifically spice and herb alergies, as well as dairy and what not. we will have a pretty good selection of stuff there, so hopefully we will be able to accomidate your special requirements.
