......SORRY but running late. Hope I don't run too many over.

Top of the morning and HAPPY WEDNESDAY/HUMP DAY/STAR WARS DAY to All......".....May the 4th be with You"!

Coffee is up, and I'm a wee behind the clock, so I had to just jump in.
If I get back on track shortly, will be back...
Peace,
Hack

Morning everyone!

Clean bill of health yesterday except a little work on bad cholesterol needed. VA doctor and service was 5 star. My blood pressure was a little high one day, so they are mailing me a free BP tester.

Got some big time fixes on the control systems at work going. Engineers and techs need to read the manual!

Have a great day everyone!

Good mawnin’, Hack, Perry, and all if TRT!

Thanks for the coffee, Hack. I’ll throw in some muffins, cinnamon raisin toast with PB and nanners. Been missing you in the evenings, Hack. Joe would like to get a run down of what your day was like at the creek.

Perry, great news about your blood work and the first class VA experience. Watch out for your BP and your cholesterol. You got this.
Yes sir everyone needs to read the manuals!

Yesterday I had a doc appointment to get established with a new-to-me Gastroenterologist. Everything’s working out smoothly for me right now, so I don’t have to have another lower GI test until 2028.🥳🥳 When I have my BP checked my left arm, the result was 110/35! So I told the nurse to check my right arm and it was 110/65. Go figure.
This morning I’m going to get Covid vaccine booster. The last ones I had were Pfizer, and this one will be Moderna, so we’ll see how that works out. I suspect I will just have a sore arm.

Everyone have a great day today Star Wars Day!

that’s of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good morning Hack, Perry, Cath and all,

Just finished moving the older fry into the tub system. I was nervous and still am about the move. Taking them in to a total different system with so much new water. They are starting to eat so should be ok. The small fry went into the 20 gallon.

Morning all. I am late as usual. Work is weird, it is slow at the moment but everything that needs to be done needs to be done last week. Trying to hire staff. I am amazed at how few people actually want to work. It is sad really. We called 12 people and inspite of having submitted a resume NONE of them wanted to come in for an interview. I need to hire 4 or 5 for my dept and there are rumblings I may take over our sister hotel as well and operate both properties under one unit. Cross train all the staff and implement standards and procedures across the board. I will need another 6 to do that. Sheesh.

I love the fry pics Vinnie. I wish they weren't so darn tricky to keep, I'd really like to give it a go one day.

Great news fro the VA Perry. I am glad you have good care available.

Hack take a breath for a second to catch up.

Cath good luck with the booster. I have had both at one time & found the Maderna was easier on me, just a sore arm.

Later gators.

Rick, they aren’t super hard to keep, but they do best in by themselves and not with other tank mates. If you don’t want to deal with fry get all the same sex. But even then one can change sex.

I haven't proven I can even keep live rock yet. I'll keep it on my list of wish tanks for now.

Went and got new jeans, a semi dressy shirt and a pair of black shoes that arent sneakers , Cant take out special Lady looking like I just came off a cattle drive ;) She likes to dress up and looks good when she does. Dont want to disappoint.
Cool on VA Perry, I deal with BP and cholesterol, mostly from liquid diet, but I am working on that .

Morning , almost afternoon here , all.
Morning was a bit of a headache maker, but end result was a across the board huge sigh .
County tax bill on the lots other than where the casa sits was coming due, and since this is all new to me since Blyth passed was not sure which route to go,,, while it said “in escrow” was not 100% sure it was tended to thru mortgage company. After a few “press 1-3” sessions ( and not completely sure I was all good) I finished it off with talking eventually to a human . Yup , all that kinda stuff is taken care of, no concerns on my part ( yeah, I’m still paying “it”, but not like I needed to pay em again, heheh)
Next was homeowners insurance premium ,,, called insure to pay, but they said it was also paid by mortgage co.Then since I had em on the line, told em I wanted to pay premium on truck and trailer,,, duh, they said I paid those LAST month,,,, geeez🤔 I’m good or lucky , or downright a OFR with medium term memory loss , haha.

So other than”regular “bills to tend to this month , oddly that sounds like a good thing🤔🙄😂.

Need to do a road trip over to next county (10miles) for lawn lowering type gas, hardware store stop, and Mom day and middle nephew cards,,, and who knows what else , before I get back and lower at least the side field today, since rain is coming back later tonite/tomorrow.

Of course the parrots are out in the boid room with me as I type,,,, Molly as usual being a almost one yr old, perpetual 2yr old human type kid🙄😳🫣🥴😂, just the norm with having a macaw/parrot ,, 😂😍.

On to the day,,

Hope everyone has a great one 👍🏼

Good afternoon, everyone!

Rick, your work situation with people who turn in their resumes and then don’t even apply for a job baffles me! I don’t understand that at all. I hope we can get some good solid employees soon!

Doug - Woo hoo on you getting all gussied up to have dinner out with your lady friend! Have a good time going out.

Jeff - I hear ya on being confused about escrow. I didn’t know anything about that until I worked for a savings and loan company as a temporary. What I did was manage people’s escrow accounts… taxes and insurance. Yep, you are still paying it indirectly, But you don’t have to worry about it. In my book, that is a plus.

On with the afternoon. I have choir practice this evening so I will be checking back in with you a little bit after that… maybe around 8:30.

Good evening all,
Food Stew Ingredient Recipe Japanese curry

seahorses seems like they are adjusting to the new tank. I’m the one having issues worrying about them. lol

for supper tonight it will be homemade cheese ravioli and sauce. The owner if from Italy and his wife is from Georgia, they ended up in our little town around 2012. It’s in an old house and off of any main street. The get a pretty decent crowd of mostly locals for his homemade Italian foods. He does everything from scratch, fresh homemade pasta, made to order so it takes time.
his meatballs are just like my moms, never Been someone to match my mother’s Italian cooking .deserts are all imported from Italy.
here is my raviolis . So good and stuff with cheese.,I got it to go. It’s hard to eat out for me.,

That looks good Vinnie. Those homemade authentic dishes are gold if you can find them. A couple Ukrainian churches around town here sell perogies amd cabbage rolls. All hand made. Man they are good.

I always love good food. Both my mom and dad could cook. Completely different, my Mom made the best lasagna and tiny meatballs. It was our Christmas dinner growing up.
my Dad made all kinds of stuff, hot and spicy, but he was best known for his potato pancakes he also made homemade sauerkraut. Large batches stink up the house.

Evening all,
The combo run across into town went well,, nice to knock out multiple stops/errands with one trip. It stinks to drive 20 or so miles for a couple of wood screws and such.
Lowered the side field with the “new” zero turn, made decent time, even with a couple extra passes at the end to re-re-chop the cuttings into smaller chunks. Started doing a bit of the back pasture,,, was lax in its late fall lowering , so had more to cut off. Luckily the Ferris zero turn has nice up/down deck adjustment options, it’ll do until I get the 3 pt deck on the ol Ford and use it for “field” work.
Topped of wild boid feeders and got to the point of having to refill the hanging oriole feeder off the back deck at least once a day now,, grape jelly is flowing now, and going thru 2 oranges halves a day. Have only seen one hummingbird at a time so far,,, no Snoopy-Red Baron dogfights near the feeders, yet.

Folded in some grass clipping and chopped up oak leaves into tue compost pile, along with flipping the other end of da pile,,, saw steam coming out of it when I opened the pile up, bio is doing its job now that temps are warmer.

Big ouch when I had to get diesel for the big Deere, ditto for gas for the dual side pod fuel tanks on the Ferris,, good thing the Deere is not in heavy rotation , so not needing diesel a “lot”. Gas for the rest of the multiple petrol machines here ( I stopped counting 🫣🥴) is gonna be a thing during the growing season.

Made up some shrimp fried rice,,,IMO, tasty when I add my own spin on spices.

Late evening ( just before sunset and will prob turn on a light soon) visit with the parrots,,, of course they missed me( or just wanted out of their cages again🤔🤷🏻‍♂️🙄.

On to the evening,
Hope everyone had a great day 👍🏼

Who in the blue twinkie doodle is Joe?
Been missing you in the evenings, Hack. Joe would like to get a run down of what your day was like at the creek.
Between sleeping in, jumping right into game nights round here, and just staying busy I have missed being here. Called our game, #7 HP early tonight to chime in....been 5 tries so far trying to beat this final level. Last time we played we beat it the first time.

Life's a blurr this time of the year Cath on the creek......lots of stuff happening. Saw a 'Great' Gull battle with a flounder yesterday......got a long time house boat towed away a couple weeks ago, good riddins, but got hung up on the marsh, and now is being salvaged......got a Nor'Easter bearing down for the weekend, which causes extra work/PLANNING.....battling being short handed also Rick, a different time we live in......so .......at least spring is springing, getting some near 80 degree days, but reverting to some in the 60's, even a few 30 degree mornings.

Been a lot of groovy stuff going on round the Breakfast Table, and missed the joining in.....will try to post more in the morning, but heavy eyes are winning over now. PEACE,
Hack

Jeff I tried Orioles one time and had two birds the beginning of the season, then they just never showed.

My new job is giving people a half day off on Fridays, which means a 36 hour week. The 6:30 to 10:30 am shift will be grueling. I of course will work longer than that. They treat people well.

Made a list of everything needed for the manor. It is a full cart at Costco. After that I am done. Living for 600 bucks a month in a 425 sq. ft. apartment is simplicity.

I got to see the new friends lawn. Sheesh Louise, it is bad. Sent her to Lowes to buy some 3 in 1 seed mix to put down while the soil temperature is correct this weekend. Lawn mower sat for four years. Deja vu all over again. At least her basement is already finished.

Have a nice evening.

Hi everyone! It’s going to be hard for me to comment on all thie activity here this evening. That is not a complaint, by any means. Hmmmm we could have a foodie thread going on here…

Jeff, all your vehicles and lawn lowering machines are really gonna eat a hole in your gasoline or diesel budget!😳😳
OK tell us what spices or herbs you put in your shrimp fried rice.

Vinnie - That food looks super yummy! My hubby and I used to make her own pasta. But nothing fancy like ravioli. Mostly we did it because we liked the challenge.
Oh yeah I bet homemade sauerkraut can stink up the house. Can’t be any worse than collard greens, though.

Perry, wait a minute. Did you say you make $600 a week at your new job? Something’s not right with that. But then, you said your company treats employees right. That is the right thing to do in any case.

Hack - It’s great to see you here! I have no idea how the name Joe appeared in my post up there. Must be someone that wants to work for you or for Rick.😂
If you hadn’t chimed in tonight I was gonna send you a private message to find out what was going on with you and if you were OK. We all wanna take care of each other around here, ya know.

Carry on, peeps. Make it groovy.
