Matt, the rocks you are getting are sweet looking. If that little acro frag hangs on, your tank is ready for any kind or coral. They are pretty sensitive to Alkalinity swings, so definitely watch that. Calcium too. In all likeliness, your water changes will replenish them until your Ca and Alk demands really get going. Dont forget that coralline algae consumes Alk and Ca too.

The snail with the aiptasia really made me laugh.... reminds me of the one Chris had with the zoathid polyp riding along...

I had one with hair algae streaming along once. Kinda looked like one of those Treasure Trolls :D

what would you say, move it about half way down and slowly move it up?
that would be fine, i added a couple of acros that were kept under mh and within a couple days started to bleach under my t5ho, i placed them about 6 inches from the bottom and cut back my lights to 5 hours a day and once a week i moved them a little closer to the light and increased my light by an hour a week now they are about half way and looking good.

at the LFS that part was stuck down in the sand, mind you it came out of their random frag tank..(im betting it was something that broke off when the large colony they have was shipped) for $5.75 for each the frag i got im not complaining:D also it helps being buddies with the guy at the LFS, and they are on a comission basis so he hooks me up because i only buy from him when i go...

ease into it, if you go for the gusto, you could lose those nice little pieces you picked up over the last week or so. 1 tbs / 10 gallons of GFO to start with.

after adding the GFO reactor(running @ half flow, slowly increasing it) and doing a 15% water change, things are looking on the up! got me another GFO reactor on the way to run activated carbon in(phosphate free kind of course), and that little acropora frag is begenning to regrow tissue on the bleached portion....im happy so far! will post pics in the next few days, tanks kinda cloudy from maintenance at the moment..
