So I recently bought my 75 gallon reef tank from a friend it has 50lb of live rock the rest is lava rock. I have a nice skimmer,48" coralife 8 bulb compact fluorescent light fixture,2 powerheads , heater, my tank has a Kenya tree growing and a few others on frags. Anyway when I got the tank I transferred all the existing water that was already cycled in containers so I could skip the whole cycle process but lately my tank has been growing a lot of green hair algae over all the live rock and I'm getting brown stringy algae on the glass of the tank also red bubble algae .. I do use a RO it has all new filters but membrane is years old and the gauge don't even work anymore and when I test the kh of the Ro water it has a 196 ppm that's not normal rite? Is this my issue? Also I do weekly water changes of 10% and I only top off with pure Ro water . My hydrometer reads 1.023 , kh reads 196+ and nitrate is 2 ppm oh and water temp is 79-80
