Yes, it is safe, at least the brand I use, actual superglue. I can't rule out there may be some brand out there w/ a different formula but i have never heard of a problem with any

Jenglish, only 1 tubes worth? Are you kidding? :thumbup:How else do you attach stuff in your tank? I can't count how many tubes of the gel I have used. I buy them $5 at a time - 3 tubes for a $ at the dollar store.

The reef glues sold by reef propagation purveyors is cyanoacrylate gel. Some of them have colors added to make them better :funny:

I only use it when I cut frags to swap, if its on a rock or something I just let it ride. I have a very shakey hands and most of my superglue projects end up with me gluing my hemostat to the cutting board or something  I use rubber bands for anything that I can.

Suoer glue is an amazing thing...however, The only things that really hild tigh when I use it is my thumb and fore fingers....lol...any ways I used it when I built my sump to hold the panels in place when I siliconed them.....The only other thing I can think of is I was not married to Lorena Bobbitt when I used super glue.....LMAO

I think gluing my fingers to stuff or to each other is why I have to use so much. I went to a frag swap last weekend and it took 8 tubes of the gel to mount the frags in my tank. I think I use at lwast 4 or 5 tubes a month on stuff.

So that is why they charge a premium price for it then Tom, because the color makes it better.
OH, ABSOLUTELY !!! :squint:

The only time I buy big containers of super glue now is when I know in advance I am going to be doing more than 3 or 4 frags of stony corals, otherwise, I can usually do four to six at a time (sometimes more if I am careful) with each cheapo tube of the gel from the Family Galler Sto. If I am cleaning the glass of a tank that has maxed out the growth of stony corals, I usaually end up making about 10 frags minimum, so two tubes will usually do me ( I still jerk back and squeel like a little girl if I don't see what it is that just touched me in the tank... )

BTW, definitely get the gel, not the regular superglue cyanoacrylate.
