Is the GE Silicon I for Bath and Kitchen (red tube) reef-safe? I need to repair some crack on my CPR HOB refugium.

Thanks.

I believe the model # is GE-012A

Here's a snippet of a post that agrees with this....

Hi,

Back when GE's help line would answer the question, they said the
following products were safe for aquarium use:

Aquarium Safe Caulk (Silicone): GE# 012A, GE Window & Door Clear
GE# 361, Clear Household Glue & Seal
I have used GE 012A without any problems. It says 100% pure silicone. I beieve it also doesn't say anything about aquarium use, where other tubes will say not to use in aquariums. Hope that's not confusing and somewhat helpful. :)

Derek is right with the ge stuff, I used it on my sump and it worked great and had no ill effects.

Where do you find GE012A? At HomeDepot, Windows & Door (blue tube) is GE412; Bath & Kitchen (red tube) is GE712.

I used dap brand 100% silicone from fleet farm to put acrylic overflow in a glass tank and it bonded very well. It is a blue tube. It has been several weeks and my fish haven't died yet.
