......So hitting the ground running.

My 'internal alarm clock' has always been set at 5a, but lately has reset it'self to 6:00a and that leaves me rushing a bit in the mornings.....but the body evidently approves.

Top of the morning and HAPPY THURSDAY TO ONE n ALL!
Coffee is up, and and Tasty Kake Chocolate cup cakes for an on the go pit stop for the tummy.

Today's weather is supposed to be fair and in the 60's.....the Nor'Easter moves in tomorrow so grab your boots and chase your umbrella.

Really cool thoughts for All,
Hack

Me too Hack. Good morning. I've been doing NASCAR style splash and go pit stops to start my day as well.

Sunny here and heading to almost 60!

Good morning Gentlemen.

Got a big coffee, and I am ready to go.

Taking my new friend Sharon out, but it is Cinco de Mayo. All the other gringos will want to eat Mexican food and consume beverages as well. Of course if we go at the OFR dinner hour of 4:30 we should be fine at my little hangout.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good mawnin’, Hack, Rick, Perry and all of TRT!
Thanks for the coffee, guys! Hack - TastyKakes are always appreciated! Love their stuff. I’ll add muffins and bagels with cream cheese and different jams, nanners and oranges.
Hack - I hope your day goes well today so you can be at the ready for the nor’easter coming your way tomorrow.

Go get ‘em, Rick! We all know that you got everything under control even though you’re minus a few people what could be doing some of that work.

Perry - going to dinner at 4:30 on Cinco de Mayo is a great idea. Near where I live before I moved to my apartment, was a fun restaurant with Mexican type food. I could hear noise from Cinco de Mayo well into the night.

Speaking of which, we are having a Cinco de Mayo themed lunch today! I plan to wear a blouse that has Mexican colors and is sparkly. Somewhere around my apartment there’s a cute little miniature sombrero I like to put on my head. I hope I can find it. Oh and I will wear earrings that look like parrots.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good morning all , you guys are busy today.

I just got my first cup of coffee from circle k. Didn’t feel like making a pot. Been up three hours already tending the fry.

I have speech therapy today. I did my homework by eating and drinking more.

Have a great day.

Afternoon all👍🏼
Tended to old lingering tax “stuff”, hopefully all is done n done 🤞🏻😵‍💫🥴🙏. Coming near to a year mark of when Blyth passed, so hopefully “what shows up here/I need ya know about” stuff has come full circle .
Cooler today, the forecasted rain for the afternoon showed up, light so far. Rumor is it’s gonna get close to 90 early next week and be a hot 3 day session of 80’s and up. Just wish the temps etc would feather out with no drastic up/downs🥴.

After my headache and ulcer formation ordeal is hopefully in the past after tending to old concerns this morning,,, dunno if I want to goof off the rest of the day( daily chores notwithstanding) to “celebrate “.

As usual, currently in the boid room with the fids.
A bit later than the norm, but have not seen any timekeeping devices on any parrot legs here, heheh.
Overheard Molly the macaw doing a long drawn out “la la la la “ vocalization this morning but of course she stopped before I could record it 😫.
Ordered a clear acrylic carrying case for herwhen I take her a hr or so away to get her wings and nails trimmed at a parrot/bird only shop in Ill. Have used wire and plastic dog style crates in the past but a lot of extra/wasted space with those crates, with sizing them to fit her and her long tail inside. Will find a pic and post in a bit. Wish I had my old tank making friends still around, I’m sure they coulda whipped one up in a bit longer size etc., for cheaper 🤷🏻‍♂️🙄.
lf I made one, it would prob cost the same and mebbe not made as well.

Oriole feeder getting grape jelly containers and 2 orange halves refilled midday now,, lots of activity.
Still have only seen solo hummingbird visits to their feeders, prob won’t be long until I get dive bombed with multiples with one chasing another away from “their “ feeder( hummers in this locale don’t like more than one being around,, unlike other parts of the country where you see vids of a bunch different variety of species feeding).

On to the day,,

Hope everyone is having a GREAT day!👍🏼

I’m sharing this because our police should never be taken for granted. In July of 2016 a lone gunmen ambushed some of Baton Rouge finest. Three died on that day. Officer Nick Tollier was wounded and has been in hospital since then and passed away yesterday.
Also on the day one of my riding buddies was shot in the ambush, but not serious.

My heart is broken as I read this latest update from Nick Tullier’s dad, James: ‘Our precious son died.’

This is truly a sad day for me & for so many who have watched this HERO fight for his life daily. The whole world learned of Nick on July 17, 2016 when those who 'protect & serve' in the Baton Rouge area were attacked. Here in Livingston Parish, we were fortunate enough to get to know Nick & his family long before that fateful day since he lived out this way. He was such a nice guy. He was sincere. He truly loved life. He was a helper. He would give you the shirt off of his back if it would help you. Even after the 2016 attack, Nick helped us to be better. He inspired all of us to do better. To try, no matter what. That’s what HEROES do, right?

God gains angels every day. Today, he received the strongest I’ve ever known - Nick Tullier. I do not know of a person who could fight such a battle - or, carry the weight put on his shoulders - like this guy. We will not forget Nick.

Prayers to his parents, his two sons, his family who fought this battle alongside him every moment of everyday. And, thank you to everyone who supported this family in some way - I know it meant the world. And, I know, they’ll still need us as we work to lay this HERO to rest…

Nick Tullier is my true HERO! I will always strive to be #NickTullierStrong!

Vinnie - I am so sorry to hear this!😖😫. Sending prayers to his family and dear friends in the wide community of Baton Rouge. Thank you for letting us know about this.
At the keyboard early for a change.....got home, game #7 being continued from last night all ready to go....snack tray, and subs at the ready.....and.....

lord Voldemort has fallen! Took a stupid amount of tries this time....first time we played we defeated him the first time.
So lets see.... cheese n crackers and pepperoni......french onion dip and chips......olives and pickles.....and a fruit tray......2 kinds of mellons.....strawberries.....blue berries.....and kiwi things. so uhhhhhh, DIG IN!

The storm cometh! Tomorrow through Monday....grab the kids, and a bucket. A true Nor'Easter with gale force winds flirting with 'tropical storm' winds at times, with rain a plenty.
These are coastal in nature as the tidal surges are sever, and take their toll on our beaches.
PLAN-A will be heading to the shore tomorrow to see how bad, and how QUICKLY bad juju arrives.

Hope nice things await All,
