Alright I figured out the prob with the canister filter now my protien skimmer is pushing all sorts of bubbles into my tank and I can't figure out why. Can some one please help I am now completely lost with the problem.

Hey Monkey maybe I can help u out a bit. What kind of skimmer is it and where is it (in the sump or hang on)

I have a US aquariums Protien Skimmer (hang on as well) and I know when I futz in the tank, do a topoff, clean the glass I get a TON of bubbles. Thats just from all the extra gunk thats been introduced into the water. I wouldn't sweat it unless its real bad and lasts for a full day or two.

I had this problem too- what I did it get some of the plastic sponge (bl;ack) thats used in some filters- I then tied it to the end of the skimmer "spout" where the water goes back into the tank- cleared my bubbles right up! The water goes through the sponge, but the bubbles get caught in it- Good luck

Yea hang ons can do that. I would try the sponge, also check the level on the tank water. Some times if the water level in the tank is to high it wont allow the water to drain through the cup.
