Problem: I have a 16 gallon (60l) nano tank with around 50l of water. I want to vacuum sand bed once a week with the water change. I must change 10% of the water, which means around 5 to 6l. If i use normal siphon vacuum cleaner i can't clean the sand so fast because 6l of water runs out way to quick.
How can i vacuum the sand properly without loosing too much water?

Are there any good battery powered vacuum cleaners?

use the "burp method"

you use your siphoning hose but kink the hose with one hand while holding the nozzle in the other hand. you bury the nozzle in the sand bed, let go of the kink, let water siphon out for 5 seconds, then rekink the hose to stop the flow. reposition the nozzle in a different part of the sandbed, then repeat.
