I have a 12G Aquapod that my daughter brought home at Christmas. She has had it about 2 years. I'm sure she never changed the lamps.

I noticed creatures don't seem as bright as in the store. I'm sure they have better lighting, but I wondered how often I should change lamps?

I read some where they give reduced light output after a while. I just don't know how long.

Thanks,

Pete S

Aquapod uses PC's. You will lose intensity in as early as 6 months. 6 to 9 months is the interval if you are keeping corals in my opinion. You can go much longer if just keeping fish.

If there is more than one tube, change them one at a time, a couple weeks apart. This will ease the transition to the tank inhabitants.
