Hi Every one,
I have a Hippo Tang in my quarantine for the last 5 weeks. No prior diseases, it's just a new fish. No new additions to the tank in 4 weeks. In the past few day I noticed some freckles/spots on its face, which I thought was normal. But this morning I noticed 5 brownish-white spots on its head. There is slight discoloration in certain areas. Its eating and swimming normally. I'm trying to ID this and find out how to treat it.

What is in the tank with it? Tell more about the tank. Do you run carbon?

That looks like the beginning of HLLE but it is hard to tell from here. Plenty of possable causes but no one knows for sure and there is no cure. Although there are plenty of them also. You can look it up.
