hey guys....picked up a nice 10 head sun coral for $12 at the swap and was wondering what kinda flow yall have yours in.

i know they have to be trained to be out in light so i got it in a somewhat shaded area but not sure how much flow i should have it in. its in current from my K3 from behind the rock work but was wondering if its enuff.

it hasnt opened up yet that ive seen but still nice and bright orange.

any tricks to teasing them out? trying to feed it tonite to see if that gets it to come out but so far no show.

We trained our to come out by first shooting a little liquid over the face of them to get them entised. waiting 5 min and feed, also ours are in med flow.

Medium flo is good and that is the way I have mine trained.

My dendros and sun corals seem to like medium flow. They also seem to feed more at night regardless of how I try to train them.

i noticed a few "tentacles" poking out on a few of mine last night right before the lights went out....

so they only come out when the lights are off?

Mine usually come out when I squirt some rods food/pe mysis juice into the tank before I spot feed them.

no change in mine when im feeding the fish......BUT i can take some ROD's coral food and squirt around it and it opens up BUT WONT COME OUT....you can just barely see the polyp inside the casing. one of the heads looked like it wanted to stick tentacles out but never fully opened.


guess its just gona take time to get it coaxed out of its shell?????
