Hack thanks for taking our couple days of rain over. I felt like crap over the holiday weekend and slept a lot. New job, new people and new cooties.

Scratched off everything to fix though at Sharon's house. Just need to hang up a 55" tv tonight in the bedroom. Hopefully she will get the hang of unplugging, then we can get rid of cable along with all the cables.

Starting week 2. They invited me back at work. Pretty bad morale with the salary people, but the hourly people are all pretty great so far.

Enjoy your *uesday.

Now That we have ThaT ouT of The way....... 😁 Am soooooo thankful we don't have any days that begin with say an 'E'.....I just would play sick that day and not show up.:p

All weekends are good, just some more gooder than others......and though I did technically have a 4 day weekend due to health issues, still didn't seem that long. But Sunday and Monday did refresh the FUN capacity of the long weekend......were very nice.

Even if it down pours today, I'm pretty sure I have 'inside work', so a washout day WON'T BE for me......that's OK.....need to get back to work so I can relax.;)

Hope you're staying safe up there Rick, and life is cooperating with your FUN n RELAXING PLANS?

Good morning Bro! I'm close to being fully recuperated myself.....a smidgen more to go, but good enough to function at a level others at work would be thrilled to be able to claim.

We're trying to get to that 'un-cabbling' point round here......waving by by to COMCAST and going with T MOBILE'S 5G GATEWAY......slowly, soooooo many pass words, and 'who'd we forgets' going through our minds.....plus neither of us are 'techy'.....so nervous adds to the delayed start.

Good mawnin’, Hack, Perry, and all of TRT!

Hack - Thanks for the coffee and nanners for starters. I never thought I’d see you start with fruit. I know you’re on the road right now but I’ll put out Thomas English muffins and PB to go with the nanners. Oh yeah, even with your somewhat reduced energy, your way I have a game in compared to the others. Enjoy your indoor work today, and have a safe drive home.

Perry - sorry to hear about the low morale salaried folks at work. What’s up with that?

I got rid of cable years ago. I hated paying so much money for TV networks that I didn’t watch. I’ve been using Chromecast to stream from apps of my choice, and it works great. WhereI live now cable is part of my rent so I get to look at some other shows every so often. I still haven’t figured out how to switch over from casting to using cable using the two remotes.😳

That’s enough griping from me.

I’ll chime in with what Hack said. I hope you’re having a good time and the wooded area of Quebec!

Jeff, please show your face around here. We miss seeing you, I need to get caught up with what’s going on.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

......Yeah Jeff, come on out!

THAT was a heck of a picture Vinnie.....still couldn't see the 'pot of gold', but that wasn't due to the picture though. (y)

Even with some potential 'inside work' the torrential rains still saw us closing for the day......still had to be outside to get the the 'inside' stuff.

Will probably be spending my day out in the gun shop......appears to be a LOT OF GUNS that require cleaning.

Yeah, the pot of gold is out there somewhere. That photo is taken at the Exxon plant on the Mississippi. So who know what kind of rainbow it is. Maybe just a oil slick in the sky.
Got my first set of shipping supplies and boxes. Not as big as I wanted, but they didn’t have the larger in stock.
went to antique mall to pick up my checks. Pretty decent three weeks.

Doug you can make egg and cheese sandwiches grilling them on a rock in that heat.

Vinnie glad you sold some stuff.

Cath, there are some folks that are beat down at work. It is nearly impossible to hire decent help these days. Not sure where everyone went, or how they survive. Hopefully I can give my new company a boost. Did this sort of thing for a while.

Prior to COVID it seemed finding people 'who weren't afraid of hard work, and EARNING pay increases' was tough round here......everybody always wanted to start at the top and then learn the skill sets.
THEN COVID
No one wanted to work because they got paid better not to. And then finally when that began to eventually run out it was almost like begging people to come to work.......and MAN, did we ever begin 'settling' for some people.

Wawas ("A regional convenience store chain round here.....like 7-11s, or Cumberland Farms."), are paying $15.00 to stand in an air conditioned store and stock the shelves....ENTRY LEVEL.

We can't hire 'helpers/yard workers' anymore for THAT. Making them work in the heat and the cold.....get dirty, cold and sweaty.....get wet in the rain, and stinky from dirty boat bottoms.
They all want twice that, and don't know the job. And they just don't teach this stuff at a trade school.....you learn it through the hard knocks of being here.

We're in a dieing industry.....'Mon n Pop....jack of all trades' boatyards are history. A few around the Chesapeake as 'history lessons' for the tourists, but you have to be a 'specialist any more'. My time nearing the end will pretty much mirror this industry.

PS
The boss wants me to bring Hack over here and work.....("Are you kidding me?")
