I’m up early today. Was a late night for us. It going to be clear skies today.
Dealing with contractors seems to alway be an issue popping up. It took a year to rebuild our house after the flood. Always fighting with the contractor, especially towards the end when they were tired of the house and we were tired of all the delays.

NEVER had a good experience....NEVER!

This build has taken over 3 1/2 years, and full of unfulfilled promises and dead lines......now 3 contractors latter, when ALL was supposed to be finished.....passed 'temporary' CO.....every body wants their money, but nothing is FINISHED! That's where we're stepping in trying to get it finished so they can get their true CO. EVERYONE is quick with 'leans and suing' but no one is quick with how about doing what was supposed to be done. A strange world we live in.....everyone wants something, but don't want to do it.

15amp wiring/outlets where 20 is specified.....temp. stairs rather than the permanent cement steps.....doors leading to no decks.....decks without steps......holes cut in the dry wall with no out lets....out lets and wires with no covers.....switches that turn on the sink instead of the shower and vs.....sump hole in the cellar and no pump or hole in wall to run hose....
THAT SORTA LOOSE ENDS that no one want s finish.

We order beautiful wood flooring. They delivered on a rainy day and unloaded driveway. I called the contractor and told him the wood was delivered. He asked me is it just cover it with tarp they didn’t wanna send it by the outfit move it into the house or the garage. Then three days later, they can move it into the living room and it sat there for months. The day they started on the floors, so much of the word was warped and moldy, I told him to get it out of my house, and we decided to go with the wood looking tile.
And then one of the first things we did was put plywood up in the garage, and then the sheet rockers came in and covered up the plywood with sheet rock. And then I had to come out and take all the sheet rock off phone and then at the very end, when it was time to do all the lights and see ceiling fans they said it wasn’t part of the contract and I told him he better get it done because it is in the contract. Sad thing was just a year befor the flood we remodeled the house new wood floor and furniture.

Yes it ready, I got all the upgrades, already hooked to truck and loaded up . Not a fishing trip but a break in on the new Mercury. I got the racing bottom end with a stainless steel prop.

Just a break in my relaxation.......neighborhood smells like our upcoming meal. Been 'smoking' for bout 5 hrs now, and getting cloooooooooose.....Ribs, kielbasa, and steak.....oh, baked beans of course. Potato salad's made, as well as the Deviled Eggs. We'll be schlepping some Corn muffins over there as well.
