I purchased a Haddons Carpet Anemone and received him about a week ago. Initially, he seemed to be doing very well with several Clarkii's taking to him. In the last few days, he is fully inflated and looking good in the morning. By afternoon, he begins to deflate to almost nothing. This lasts for about 4 or 5 hours and he beings to inflate again by night time. He then looks healthy again. Water params are very good and have been consistent. Ph 8.25-8.35, kh 10.0, calcium 450, nitrites/nitrates near 0, ammonia near 0, salinity at 35.0 +-.2. I believe he is getting adequate lighting and the Clarkii is tending to him, whether he is inflated or deflated. All other livestock in the tank appear health. Any assistance would be appreciated.
