Thats kind of a broad question. Just set up a lage mixed reef tank(200+) and a frag tank. Buy a ton of frags and grow them into large colonies(1-2yrs). Frag your large colonies from time to time and place the frags in your frag tank. Raise the frags into sellable size pieces and sell away. Get your every day pieces and get several rare and exotic pieces. Don't have insane prices either or your not gonna sell anything.

Diy a metal halide fixture. Youll get best bang for your buck.

6500k is closest to natural sunlight and normally gives better growth. 10-20k bulbs will give you better coloration though.

No prob. Diy mh fixtures are really simple. Check out the diy section here or on reefcentral. Youll find a slew of great ideas for your tank.

start with the easy corals and work your way up. Agreed about MH being the best lighting for growth.

The kelvin rating really depends on the coral. I recommend 10k as a good average. If you run 6500k your corals will grow but they got to look good to sell for more. So 10k for a best of both worlds.
