hello,
i have a question,
my 135 reef aquarium has a kind of green-ish tinge to the water... its hard to notice when the lights are on but easily spotted under the moonlights

my parameters are as follows
nitrite-0
ammonia.- .15
nitrate- 25ppm
calcium- 410

i know my nitrate is a high and im wondering if that could be the cause?
i did a 50 gallon water change yesterday because my nitrates where reading around 70 ,
so i changed water and bought new bio-pellets for my phosphate reactor

just wondering what could cause the green haze sort of colour...
thanks!!

google gelbstoff and see if that looks like what you have... if not it, then its probably a phyto bloom...

no its nothing like either of those, the water is clear when the lights are on... but at night under the moonlights it appears green, instead of blue... very strange...
