well its 300 am here and i thought i might as well start today off!!!!!! hope everyone had a great fourth, im sure theres many hangovers, well not here, but even in my sober state last night i lost the roman candel fight, ah well it was all in fun.. supposed to be nice day today i hope it is true as i got alot of cleaning up to do today! enjoy everyone

Good morning from wet wet Indiana....the rain stopped long enough for the fireworks to go off downtown last night...they were expecting around 250,000 people to be in the area watching....good reason NOT to go to that one....

up early gonna work late tonight and early tomorrow, so I think I'll relax today and watch the water clear in the tank...

Another morning to be awakened by thunder. After hearing the neighborhood crackle and pops last night until midnight, mother nature had to wake me up at 6 with her noise. So I got up and came to work for a few hours.

All is well in Homer's reef. Did a water change yesterday and rearrainged some corals. Everyone looks happy, especially after I fed them some fresh (frozen) mysis.

Morning TRT!

Think I'm alive! Need more coffee and pain killers! Went over to my son's place last night and he had a major party and I had a few brewskies and shots of whiskey!:beer:

I could not believe the fireworks display he put on and they were still going at it when Pat and I left to go home!

I checked my sugars this morning thinking I was in big trouble but to my surprise they were 100. Perfect!

Oh yeah yesterday morning Pat and I went fishing and I only caught sun fish and Pat caught a bass and three perch! I was happy for her!

And to top off the Fourth of July celebration my son gave me a gift certificate for the LFS for $200.

WOW!! The screen on the puter went black for a second and the aquarium pumps shut off and the fan in the bed room just now but everything came back on! Maybe it's my head and eyes playing tricks on me! Think I will go back to bed!

Well I hope everyone had a great and safe Fourth of July and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Good to see you all, Clint, Paul, Dad, Homer, Doug and Johnny! I had a great time at Tom's place last night. Earl and his wife came over too.

Clint..ewww on cleaning up after a huge bash. At least you're not having to deal with a hang over while cleaning up (shuddder)

Danielle- no fireworks accidents at your bidness last night? That would be a great report.

Today I'm having a "too close to my house" oak tree trimmed up a bit. I'll post before and after pictures later today.Gonna feed the guys ham (the real kind, not veggie) and swiss on home made bread with some adult beveralge to wash it down after the job is done

Mornin' all!

Had almost a whole day OFF yesterday! Had some tanks/dogs/cows to feed for vacationing customers but after that it was PAR-TAY! Our neighbour, his parents, his fiancee and his fiancee's neice and our family all got together for some grillin' some beer and some fireworks! They put on a display in downtown Canton, and we can see them in the distance from our driveway, so we watched from home.

We had a great 4th- very relaxing. We had so much fun I think we're going to do it again tonight (minus the fireworks!).

Good morning TRT! I had a pretty good night last night. My neighbor and I cooked steaks at his house and shot off some fireworks. We had bad luck with the artilary shells though. They had bad fuses so we had to devise our own system for setting them off. We got one in air successfully, one was kind of successful but a little too low, and the other three blew up on the ground sending us running for our lives. We put the other five away and decided to wait untill we can redesign the system. Danielle would have killed us if she saw us last night. Thankfully we were free of injuries! After that we sat out front and watched the police roam the neighborhoods catching those who were still shooting off fireworks. We saved our loudest ones for last and quit just before the police arrived.

Good morning everyone...hope everyone had a safe and fun evening last night! Time for everyone to go stockpile for next year...with all the fireworks tents selling stuff at least cost to get rid of it.

My agenda for today... do a water change on my 75, make up new water, quite possible re-set up my 20, organize my cookie cutter collection..(finally got them to my apt..who wanted a picture of them?) And...oh yeah...rest from all the driving I have had to do the past few days. Everyone have a good one!

Good morning TRT.

Went out last night with the wife and kids to see our community fireworks display, then came home and lit off some our own (that we had to get in the next county over). The kids had a great time, especially with the new-fangled 'sparklers' that are more like a mini-flare.

It's funny that fireworks are illegal here in our county, yet every county around ours they're legal... even though the same fire conditions are prevalent throughout the north valley... I guess somebody had an axe to grind at one time.

We stuck with the ground-based stuff though... the biggest thing we lit off was a piccolo pete (and my ears are still ringing)...

Glad everybody had a safe and sane Independence Day.

On a little aside, my daughter asked me a question yesterday that really blew my mind...
She'll be in 4th grade in the fall, and she asked me "Dad, why do we celebrate the 4th of July?" I told her to celebrate America's independence, and she said "Oh, kinda like the Mexican people celebrate Cinco de Mayo".

I just found it odd that she knew all about Cinco de Mayo yet nothing about the 4th of July... I think our schools need to get their priorities in order.

one circuit in the house is screwy,,,

ALL electronics in da entertainment center,,,

phone ,insure,elect. companies have been called,,,,
so that's how MY day's been going!
