Hey folks I purchased a used ER skimmer I think its a CS80 a few years ago and its just been sitting dormant. I'm getting ready to put my 75gal together. I hear alot about gate valve mods does anyone have a good link for how to on this. Also i've heard of being able to turn it into a "turbo euro" somehow, anyone have any clue about this?

Dont the euro reef's have a gate style valve?

On on I know of the fiser tube twists and there is a gate like valve on it...

They don't come with it (or at least didnt as of a couple years ago), but they did offer one for sale.

But as tasher points out, you just have to get a gate valve (~$20 at www.savko.com, they usually don't carry PVC gate valves at the local hardware store) and a couple PVC pieces. This allows you much greater control over the water level in the skimmer.
