.....pretty much sums it up ay!("Check my spelling there Rick?")

Good morning All you beautiful people and.....HAPPY FRIDAY! 26F under BRrrrr'y skies.
Coffee to warm up the cockles, and Cream of Wheat to assist in the body warming.

Got a sailboat to haul this afternoon, a 26', and that 'might' about catch us up till after Thanksgiving. Stripper season is our bane this time of the year......depends on what the strippers are doing, as to how quick we can get the last of the boats on the beach. So far the strippers seem to be staying well North of us.....so we'll see.

Hope a swell day faces All,
Hack

Good morning Hack, Doug and all.

It was cold last night. Got down to thirty. Highs in 50’s today with rain in forecast tomorrow.
When you guys talk about stripper are you talking bass? If so we would fish them in NM and the average was 20 to 25 pound. The record in NM was 54 lbs. but not sure we are talking the same fish.
My patio heater didn’t arrive on time and still not here. I can stand when they say order in the next two hours and receive by a certain time and it doesn’t arrive.
Doug hope all goes well for JoJo . I had an Indian friend named JoJo. He was from Santa Domingo Pablo. He was the one that taught me how to make native jewelry. It would be this time of year we ship it out for the holidays. He would also take my stuff I made on my own and sell it for me. They would deal with Indians before some white guy. This was some 50 years ago.
Have a great day

Good mawnin’, Hack, Doug, Vinnie, and all of TRT!

Thanks for the cozy breakfast, Hack. Since it’s been a few minutes 😉 since you went to work, I’ll make cheese toast and stewed apples to warm up the current crew.
What sort of work will you do before Thanksgiving after you get that sailboat ready for the winter?

Good mornin Hack,, ya'll have STRIPPER season????? Dang we have salmon and striper season. Up early ,jojo is getting ready to go surgery. Gotta be ready in case his ride oversleeps
Good one, Doug😂
You da man for being ready to take JoJo to the hospital for his surgery. It’s good to know that the men around here are stand up guys ready to help others.
Have a good day off!

Vinnie, HD can be a real pain about not delivering things when expected, and that’s not groovy.
That’s pretty cool that an Indian showed you how to make native jewelry. Oh yeah, I can see why your work would sell better if an Indian were selling it rather than you. Somewhere around here I have a bracelet silver bracelet that was my mother’s. I’m not sure if it’s native jewelry or not, but I will take a photo of it and post it here. It has delicate engraving on it.

It’s 33 here and climbing up to 55 this afternoon. Typical Spartanburg weather this time of year. We will have some lows in the 20s this week.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good morning Cath,
HoJo was something else. We were pretty close friends. He did like to drink and Al’s rode a Norton MC . He wrecked and broke his leg and removed the cast himself before his leg was healed. He walked with a permanent limp after that. He someone I wish I would have lost contact with . But later in he went to live back in the reservation and we just lost contact with each other.

Morning all,

Cruddy day to have to drive anywhere in these parts . Granted it’s nothing like a Buffalo or lake effect area,,, but ice coated roads are the big news thing this morning. A bit too windy IMO for any salt truck efforts to be productive overnite, plus you have the annual first winter road conditions weeding out of those less ,,, um,,🤔, let’s go with , “smart”.
Lots of sliding, and sliding offs on the roadways.

Was in the top 10 list of the retiree manual,,, don’t HAVE to go anywhere iffin you don’t want to👍🏼.

Here is the good news for the day here 😁😁,
Foster long dog Rudy has special visitors coming this weekend !!!!!!🎉🎉🎉. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏.

Also, King the German Shepherd is 10 yrs old today👍🏼❤,, been here 7 yrs, and they have been ALL great 👍🏼👍🏼.

Today’s plan is obviously to stay in the house ,,, have the police radio on , and be glad I don’t HAVE to be traveling anywhere today👍🏼

Hope everyone is having a great day 👍🏼

Vinnie, that is so sad about your Indian friend. I’m glad that you two had a good friendship while it lasted.

Rick, that is too funny on your response to today’s spelling bee.

Jeff - Great news about Rudy’s possible forever home! I hope the roads are clear enough for the prospective human parents to travel this weekend.

Happy birthday, King!! That is a great moment in TRT history! Please take a photo of him for us.

Remorning all, Happy Burfday King, good luck to Rudy. Bummer about the weather there Jeff. 32 and kinda foggy but will clear as sun get up . Going to take Furgee into vet for weigh in and f/t and heart meds. Just the preventative stuff, other than that nothing firm. Jojo is supposed to be out of surgery around 11 am, not sure how long it will take em to get home. Depends on picking up meds etc and how long that takes

Doug, yeah I lost track of many friends over the years. He was a closer friend than most. But like so many friends that come and go over the years some of them for one reason or another lose contact.
The patio heater turns out hasn’t been shipp even . I drove to BR and found one. I will return it when it arrives. I told them I want to cancel but he couldn’t do it.

Those are nice heaters, real common at resteraunts that have dining patios. Got the pup weighed, and meds for flea/tick and heartworm preventative. She weighs 70 # so she only gained 5# since last month, but shes 9 mo old so she is probably slowing down growth. Seems like she was gaining 10# a month earlier.
Jojo is home, surg went well

That’s a nice patio heater, Vinnie! That folderol from HD sounds very much like bait and switch.😡 I’m glad you were able to get another one, but too bad you had to go to BR to get it. Hopefully it wasn’t in rush-hour traffic.

So I thought I hit send a while ago. Things are fine, here
Did someone mention Wiskey and Chat, I am down or up, when and where?
Yay, that is great news about Jojo‘s surgery going well! As far as Fergie goes, I guess her growth spurt is waning. Still, she’s a good looking dog, and a good friend. Can’t beat that.

Looking forward to hearing Hack’s report about his outdoor work today.

I can’t do chat tonight, but I can do it tomorrow night.

Carry on, friend.

OK Cath is out, any other takers, I am not adverse to chat 2 nights in a row
......Allowing for the thought we'll have internet this evening, I think a CHAT on a cold night sounds swell. When I get home this afternoon, I/WE could PM some folks to bolster our number......Whisky, Perry, Jeff, Rick, ect.
Y'All draw lots to nail down a time.

Hack!! it’s good to see you! I always miss when you don’t chime in on the evening to let us know how your day was. Tell us about your day….. was that sailboat a big chore pain on the fanny?

Yeah! I hope your Internet will be working tonight. Is your weather that bad that I could take it out? I vote 9:00 Eastern standard time.

Top of the morning Cath!

Oooooops, meant to post this in today's thread....oh well.
9:00p over this side of the country time works for me as well, but do have 'wiggle room'.

The sail boat Cath was no whoop.....well actually a wee obnoxious owing to it being a sail boat, but no issues.
We'll be getting a few boats this coming week.....MAYBE, but then another lull till after STRIPPER season. :p
