Good morning all. It is a glorious sunny day here & they say 44F later. I'll take it. My friend dropped by after work yesterday. Hadn't seen him in a couple months so we had time to catch up. He also happened to come strollin up the driveway at the perfect time. I was just about to re-install my carbs in the bike. It is one of those tasks that is only mildly impossible if you have two people. Don;t get me wrong, I love the engineering that went into it & I love the horsepower that comes out even more but Jimminy Crickets it is tough to work on.

Happy Easter & have a great day all.

Good morning Hack and all,

I’m up and ready for another day. Going to be a wet one.
Jacob , Gabi, Shelby and the grandkids were over last night. Was long and loud. Gabi and Kristine went shopping earlier in the evening to get stuff for the Easter Sunday crawfish boil.
Have a great day on this Good Friday.

Good morning Rick,

Anytime you have more than one carb it can be challenging sitting up. I remember the old 240 x when they come in for a tuneup. Always headaches. Some old muscle cars with the three deuces also had them.

Good Friday Mornin, it's foggy and 40ish, kind of a blah start but will get better. I get to bring Furg home in a couple hours. Beyond that nothing solid yet.
Hope the day treats you all well

It's okay. I'll just marry her like all the rest.

It is planes trains and then walking through the city for most of the trip. Only two days are at the manufacturer.

Not a big fan of chocolate. Wonder if they sell swiss beverages at the duty free store of some sort.
Well you should be able to get Ovaltine everywhere like a Starbu$$.
Furgee is homw and seems tired but in good spirits, she is laying on bed watching dog vids on youtube. I am so relieved :)

Glad the pup is home Doug.

All the trip stuff is booked. Going with amateurs. I am the only one with TSA. I'll be stuck at customs, but at least not in US security lines.

Should be pretty exciting travelling to Switzerland. Zurich is the airport, then somehow we catch a train to the city with the equipment.

Good afternoon, Hack, Rick, Vinnie, Perry, Diugand all of TRT!

Hack - I’m impressed that you got your Easter dinner, planned and shopped for already. What’s on your menu for Easter? How is Nate doing these days?

Rick, that sounds like fun meeting up with a long time friend after work yesterday. Even better that he was able to help you with a project while you visited.

Vinnie - what kind of sides do you have to go along with the crawfish boil, and what is in the crawfish boil? I wonder if it’s like a Lowcountry boil here? (they use Louisiana shrimp, and crab boil seasoning), ears of corn, cut in half, small red potatoes, Vidalia onions, pork sausage
. That kind of stuff.

Perry , have a great time in Switzerland! You might not like chocolate, but you might like their ice cream and pastries. They might even turn your head, so you enjoy chocolate. Who knows!?

Doug, I’m glad to hear Furgee is home. It sounds like it was a good idea for the vet to keep her overnight.

Whew. I’ve had a busy day today. And all of it was centered around Good Friday. I’m exhausted but I had a good time. Right now I’m making a Jewish bread called Challah. I don’t think I’ve made it for over 40 years! I guess I better go tend to it in a second.
Starting last evening, weather was terrible: lots of spurts of heavy rain, and today the temperature dropped. It was supposed to be a high of 70 and I don’t think it ever got there or if it did, it changed its mind quickly. We have wind gusts that make it feel like it’s 41. That’s one of the reasons I’m making bread.

I’ll check back in a bit.

Afternoon all,
Just realized I had not checked in yet today,,, oops.

Early am grub store run then picked pole barn duty as the plan of the day . Ran sis’s Deere mower with dye in the engine oil,,, later found prob where the leak is coming from ,, one of the heads. Checked the interweb, and of course there were a few vids on how to do the job. Might try the lazy way out first and check the head bolt torque and see if that does the trick. Won’t know until I try it .
Took most of the rest of the lawn crew out, used some . First mow with the zero turn in the fenced in dawg yard,, makes dawgs tend to liquid fertilizer spots unevenly 🙄, so now everything is leveled out, haha. Used the big Deere to move the industrial sized oxy/acetylene tanks from pole barn to shop, after they came back from getting borrowed out. Cleaned up/out the “tack room”( read: used motor oil storage and other stuff) , and a bit of snowthrower put away for the season and mental noting what else needs to come out for summer duty wake up and oil changes etc.sigh,,,,

On a good note, got word that foster Doxie Rudy has human’s interested in adopting him, need to contact them and answer questions they might have about him, above what they already know about him,,, fingers crossed.

Speaking of multiple carbs, I had a ‘70 Datsun 240Z sound ‘77,, and wondered if the carbs were set properly . Luckily my dad had a childhood buddy that was a import mech and drag racer ,,, and took the car to his place and he showed me how “easy”( in this case) it was to adjust carbs. Each carb had a “shut off” button,,, block a carb and adjust the other correctly,, then vice versa/repeat. I don’t wanna say it ran so much better , but rumorđŸ™„đŸ€« has it that it went 120 that nite .

On to the remaining daylight ,,

Hope everyone is having a great dayđŸ‘đŸŒ

I'll never forget my 72 Porsche with the double triple webers. 9/11 happened and had to sell it when the jobs vanished.

Just like my bikes, one barrel per cylinder was adequate. Getting all that synced was a couple bills even back in the day.

I remember buying 4 vacuum guages from the Snap On guy back in the say and mounting them on a board, Made Synching carbs on CB 750 alot easier, The Mikunis on Kaw 903 were nit that bad to dial in,
Furgs still doing well, kinda laid back and taking it easy, had dosed dinner so tonight should be good, esp since she has "her" spot on my bed. I love this gurl :)
Ribe eye, taters onions and shrooms for dinner tonight then watch tv with pup . Night all

Jeff, that’s great news that there’s a potential human that would like to adopt Rudy! I hope that all works out for him to have a new pal, and the same for the human.
