My wife and I saw "Finding Nemo" last night. We were the only adults (we are in our late 40's and early 50's) in the theater without kids.
Since we are both avid warm water Scuba Divers and have multiple reef tanks we were very interested to see how they portrayed things in the movie (cartoon).
We were very very impressed with the accuracy of the underwater biology in the ocean scenes. The tank scenes were pretty good also. The biggest flaw was that they used gravel as the base of the saltwater tank instead of sand.
I think we got a lot more out of it because of our backgrounds then the kids did. But the kids loved it. We really, really loved it. Not only for the underwater stuff but the humor, story, voices, etc were extreamly well done. I think it was one of the best movies I have seen in decades.
You should all see it (even if you don't have any kids to take)
I can't wait until it comes out in DVD and I can watch it over and over.
