So I Have A 55 Gallon Tank And A 30 Gallon Tall Tank I Am Thinking About Using As A Refugium/Sump but I have some questions

1. Can My Refugium/Sump Have Only One Chamber.ive seen them with the baffles but wanted to know can I do it with out them.
2. Can The Sump Refugium House Fish?

3 What All Do I Need For A Sump Refugium

What I Have
Tank Bak Pak Protein Skimmer
100 Gallon Aqua Clear Filter
2 power heads
2 bublers
in tank filter I would like to take all of that out of my big tank and put them in the 30 gal

I use a 70 gallon tank for a sump. It is bare bottom, house's a heater, a skimmer, and a return pump...no baffles, no problems at all. Water drops in from my 90 gallon display tank, and at the other end is the eheim 1262 return pump...it is very easy to clean, basically it is a settling tank with very little water movement. I keep about 50 gallons of water in it, and make sure the water level is stable (within a quarter inch or so)... My 90 gallon display has a lot of water movement (10,000gph)
thanks so should I have a deep sand bed and things like live rock I'm the 30 gallon
