Well, I thought about hiring an electrician to come in and install two new 20 amp circuits dedicated to the new fish tank I'm setting up. But then I took a look at a few minutes to read a book on home electrical work at Lowes and decided to try it myself. Since I had a few parts laying around from a pool we used to have, it only cost me $30 for the whole thing, and it took a total of about an hour. I can't believe how easy it was! Now I have two new circuits with GFCI outlets in the laundry room behind where the tank will sit. All I have to do now is build a box for the electrics and I'm all wired up! Can't wait for my aquacontroller to arrive! I'm planning on putting all my electronic hardware on lighted switches (DJ 8's), 12 of which will be controlled by the aquacontroller. All will have a manual overide with a lighted switch that is labeled with whatever device it controlls. Jeez, this planning ahead concept is pretty cool!
