I've got 2 Radio Shack 4" 120 AC fans I need to wire into my new hood. What size AC adapter do I need to run these things? Can I put both fans on the same adapter?

No adapter is required. Just go back to radio shack and get a regular 2 pronged plug. Solder them together and away you go.

Thanks Greg, that's what I was thinking, but the guy at Radio Shack said I needed to get a 120 AC adapter to run them.

Would any plug I have laying around the house work? I've got a ton of old cell phone chargers ect.

Just for clarification. The fans are 120 VAC correct? If so, no transformer is necessary, all you need is a regular plug (no transformer) like a lamp cord...

I have the 4" RS fans on mine and they are 120 VAC

if its a 12 VOLT DC (battery auto etc) system, you NEED one 120V (standard household setup) no.

if it is truly " 2 Radio Shack 4" 120 AC fans" then all he needs is 2 prongs at the end of the cord directly into the wall...

Greg - I think that they're the same ones I saw in your hood the other day. I'm going to try it and see what happens.

One other thing, does anyone know where I can get 3/4" Loc-line up here locally without getting scalped?
