.....as well as Wednesday....Thursday.....Friday......
Just another 'up early day'.....BUT.....Top of the morning, and HAPPY SATURDAY TO ALL!

Did I/WE miss St. Patrick's Day completely yesterday? OoooooooPs! Was most unintentional....SORRY!
I think Doug was the only one who eluded to it in a late post yesterday I read this morning.

Coffee is going, and sure I'll be hungry LATER. Hope the meet n greet goes off without a hitch today Jeff....even our dogs have their toes crossed for Ya's.

Let's go grab another cup of joe, and see where today takes us,

Morning Hack, and those that will be checking in today.

Yup, fingers and everything else that can be , are crossed for Rudy making a good impression and forever home matchup with the humans coming to visit this afternoon . Part of me wishes that Rudy was more of a no baggage/behavioral kind of dawg , since these folks are less than 10 minutes away from me ,,,, and being able to visit with a ex -foster once in a while would be cool. Granted I wish/hope/pray that Rudy finds a great forever home and what issues he has fade away,,, but 🤔🙄🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️.

Cold and breezy the weather forecast this morning, that wind cuts right thru,, and I’m usually not uncool with cold.

Coffee to offer so far,, will work up a grub choice inna bit.

Good news I suppose,,, pretty sure I was able to sleep in until 5 am( 5’ish hrs o’ sleep) . Think I heard some barking/bellyaching from Murphy at some point in the early am,, and also think I choice to ignore him in the hopes he would stop( also think that worked 👍🏼)

On to the morning /day

Hope everyone has a great one!👍🏼

Howdy Jeff! Is this just gonna be a 'MEET n GREET' today, or a possibility of a one way trip to his new forever home?
43 heading to 53 F latter, and a tad dreary looking at the moment with an early morning rain having added to that feel out there.
i turned that page in my life Jeff about 5 years ago that I don't handle the cold well any more.....playing in it and having to work in it are two vastly different situations.
Unlike most of the folks I've had to work with over the years, I am a 'claim one and stick to it' person. I can handle the heat, and you'll never hear me crying about it being TOO HOT....cold, I now will say that, and ONLY THAT. It not only effects my breathing now, but I just shake, shiver and get 'chilled' easier. 40F is about my minimum to function at work now.

Best to you today,
Hack

Good mawnin’, Hack, Jeff, and all of TRT!

Thanks for the coffee, guys! I’ll get started on some breakfast I think we ought to have comfort food in the form of muffins for Rick, even though he’s not here right now, and Belgian waffles with Canadian maple syrup and plenty of it. I’ll heat it up, so it doesn’t cool off your waffle. Also, there will be baked apples to go along with your waffle and dippy eggs on the side.

How are you feeling this morning, Hack? I hope your strength is coming back to you.

I am with you on hot versus cold weather. I like to feel four seasons, but extreme heat is not such a bother for me, extreme cold not so much. I am envious of those people that have a fireplace.

Jeff, I hope the meet and greet goes well for Rudy and you and the prospective family for Rudy.
Fantastic news that movie gave up his barking and went back to sleep during the night!

Rick, it’s about time you poked your head in the door.

Vinnie how are you feeling today?

Doug, I hope you got a decent overnight nap last night. I must say, your day off sounded pretty yucky. Hopefully today is better.

This afternoon, Bobbi is going to a shape note sing. This is an annual event, and Bobbi’s been going since she and Hal moved here.

42 here and going up to 57 today. we have another freeze warning for tonight. I know it has farmers scrambling. But they know what to do in cases like this.

lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good Morning all, 39 headin to 52 and cloudy. Repair guy was trying to fir me in yesterday but that did not happen, not surprised given the jobs he already had scheduled.
I really need to straighten out my desk and files. I have several back years I dont need any more, but need folder for new insurance and Furgees vet invoices and stuff. Dogs are alreadyprimed to got go out for their daily van adventure. I need to refill propane for the heater and grab a few things . Found a package of Gourmet organic hot dogs that will probable be dinner fare tonight.
Looked up shape note and I see it is a type of musical notation to assist vocalists. One of my big disappointments in life is not being able to read music. I can mimic sounds on guitar and bass but learning scales and tech side is like trying to do math beyond paycheck math eludes me and has been a stumbling block all my life :( I have always had keen interest in science but without math paleotology seems to be the only field open and I bore quite easily.
Jeff i hope the meet goes well for the foster pup. Hack I feel you on the cold and wet, it is exhausting. Last summer when it was so hot I was the only one not suffering badly from inadequate AC at the store. I love hot and dry. i think that is probably from me time working as 3rd helper or ladleman helper in a steel mill. Jeff can attest it doesn';t get much hotter or drier :)
Anyway off to the day, hopefully Vinny is feeling better and Rick and Perry get their projects done and check in

Doug is in the right ballpark for shape-note music. It became popular in the United States in the 19th century. As far as I know, it’s used exclusively and hymn singing. It was a method of helping people know publication learn how to read hymns. They learned what it sounded like to see from one shape to another. One characteristic of a hymn written in shape note style is that the melody is sung by the tenor voice rather than the soprano. Below is a short example of amazing grace written in shape note notation.

When you attend a shape note singing is that The chairs are arranged in a square, and the conductor stands in the middle. They don’t direct 1,2,3,4 or 1,2,3 or anything like that, which is usual for a choir director. Instead, they just direct down up down up with a great big arm movement. Most of the singers also conduct from their seats.

Shape note sings are very popular in the south, and sometimes people drive quite a distance to go to one.

Doug your post is jazzed up! Sounds like you’re feeling better. Keep it groovy this afternoon.

I would like to share a photo of shake up music, but I can’t do it from my iPhone so I’ll try to do it from my iPad.

I forgot to say that I have a shape note sing, it is customary for the group of people to sing the entire hymn with the syllables. Sometimes they might sing it twice like that, and then sing the hymn with the text. More, but I think your eyes will glaze over.😂

Wow, Vinnie! Your temps and weather conditions
are topsy-turvy for your area! Good to hear that you’re feeling some better. I didn’t realize you were coughing so much. I bet you’re worn out just from that!

Keep on taking it easy!

Afternoon/early evening for some , all.

Hack, this was a pre -meet n greet for Rudy. Usually prospective adopters are thumbed up to adopt ( home check, and other prelim stuff) and a regular meet n greet is when if they want to follow thru , can sign the contract , and take a foster home with them.
Since Rudy had a few “issues”( mostly being growly when closing his crate door, and not picking him up etc in the wrong fashion) and these folks being 10 minutes away,,,, the rescue rep felt a pre -visit ( no home check etc) would be ok for Rudy.

Well, it went well/nicely ,,, the fella’s wife was not feeling well, so he and their gal Doxie did the visit.
Rudy was a gentleman/dawg,,, I showed him what and how Rudy is when closing his crate door ( which he goes in willingly without direction) and what I’ve found to turn that switch off ( squeaky ball being the #1 thing) , along with his good/lesser than good attributes. His Doxie shut Rudy down when he got too “sniffy” with her,,, a good thing.

Gave the rep a good report,, she will call them and see what they decided,,, and go from there.

Nownthe dawgs here feel the need to catch up on free playtime ,,, sigh

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Doug, Hebrew national dogs? I’m lost on that one.

Jeff, that sounds like the meet and greet with the male human and their little Doxy went pretty well. I hope you get a positive report back from the family soon.

Can’t do a chat tonight, Doug. Somehow or other I get myself loaded up on a Saturday and have to use an evening to get somewhat caught up. One thing is a must, and that is to cover up some tender plant lest they get frost burn tonight. 😳

I sure hope Rick and Perry are OK.

Carry on with the evening, and try to make it somewhat groovy, everyone.
