My TDS PPM is 032 before Di and 003 after Di, Do I really need RO/DI unit or is my DI unit enough?? Does DI remove clorine or is it the RO or A. Carbon that does?

I'm from near London and my Tap water is 365 ppm tds, i'm supprised i'm still alive to type this! My Ro brings that down to about 7 then my di takes it to Zero
my lfs water i was buying had a tds of 7 and i had no problems

I would say that RO and DI are inseperable from each other anf from our hobby. they are awsome.

I have to chime in and say that purchasing an RO/DI unit for my reef tanks was the best single investment I've ever made......it's well worth it and you can be assured of water quality - -

If you are using just straight DI filtration on your tap water; the resin will exhasut much faster than if it was after an RO unit. DI resin is expensive.

Vince hit on it. The RO will fiter out a lot of bad stuff that if left in, will SERIOUSLY reduce the lift-span of your DI cartridge.
