Hey guys, so my friend had a salinity spike and his green hammer detached itself from its skeleton?? didnt even know they could do that but he took it out gave it to me its chillin on the sand in my fuge and looks alive and well but what do I do now?? attach it like i would a frag? glue or tie to a plug? or do I just let it chill in the sand until it grows a skeleton again? i feel like that would take forever. thanks for the help

No, usually it means they are dead, pick up the remaining head and chuck it out.
you really dont want an ammonia spike.

While Polyp Bailout is not necessarily a good thing, it can be a form of reproduction sometimes. If that polyp can find a spot where all of it's needs will be met then you might just be in luck. If you can, try placing it in a small glass bowl with some sand or perhaps a small tupperware container. Find it a spot where it will be receiving quite a bit of light, but not a lot of flow. You don't want this thing to float away. After that it's all just a matter of time. GL.
