Interestingly enough, I thought it was generally accepted that tanks 29 gallons and under were nano's, with those under 5 being picos... Not that it really matters, just making a point. :)

greg i agree i think a nano could be 60 gallons or less......however i generally think the consencious is 30 gallons or less is a nano and 5 gals being picos

I'm a bit of a newbie, but my understanding was always that anything under 30 gal is a nano. Again not that it matters... I guess we all need to use our best Judgement when posting threads with question about nanos...

My personal definition is:

1 gallon or less is a pico

over 1 gallon up to 28 gallons is a Nano

29 gallons up to 120 gallons is a Mini Reef

121 gallons and over is just a plain reef.

But everyone has there own opnion on this but most opnions fall somewhere close to eachother.

compared to mike we all have nano's :D

i'm thinking of setting up a 20g nano...jsut so i can have the privilage of posting in this new forum :D
