Story: This is from my parents 120 gallon reef. They have had a group of plain brown mushrooms at the bottom of their tank for over 10 years now. The got pretty large and spread throughout the area, even onto an abandoned turbo-snail shell. This particular mushroom on the shell when open is over six inches in diameter, and looks great laying in the sand against the rocks.

I noticed yesterday it was gone! It had been there forever, and all that was left in its place was a coraline covered shell, smaller, empty, and mushroomless. After looking around a little, the culprit was found. The glowing white shell is now the new home to a crab. The crab doesn't seem to mind the extra weight, but the mushroom isn't all too happy. Cracked me up, here is a picture:

maybe he wanted a carry along umbrella to help protect from the lights... ;) :rolleyes:
