Ok got another question for all you experts. When putting new corals into my tank I have always been very careful to leave a few inches between them to eliminate stinging and what not. Problem is I am quickly running out of space. Do all corals sting each other, or can some corals be placed next to each other?

Obviously my hammer and frogspawn will never be able to play nice with other inhabitants but what about my colt, mushrooms, xenia, and leathers...can they touch?

Gets very difficult to keep these fellas apart when they grow so quickly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this will help, but we keep the shrooms with ricordias and the zoos together, and since the colt - leathers are raised up a little they sit in the middle or off to the side.

Out tank is getting really full as well - especially since we have a couple of BTA's - have to watch out for everything when they get on the move.

Ok, will a colt sting a toadstool? My colt is getting so big he sways in the current and gets awful close to other stuff. Should probably frag him, but he looks so good. Cant bring myself to do it. Do any of you know a good book or something that helps with any of this?

I have heard that a toadstool can be pretty devestating to other corals... I have a small one in my tank next to one of my mystery corals and have had no problems yet, but they don't touch and are about 2-4" away from eachother... And as far as I know the xenia always loses...

Thanks guys that helps. My toadstool is probably the biggest thing in my tank right now. looks like a catchers mitt. Hard to find good places for everyone, without someone getting ticked off.
