......Metaphorically as well as physically.
32 heading to 32, so I guess we're about there.....oh, and WINDY!

Good morning to All you wonderful People, and a BIG HAPPY MONDAY!
Coffee is up, and since I'm on break, breakfast isn't even a thought YET.

Thinking there be some 'window shopping' vs money spending in our day today.....looking for just the right whatever it is that we ain't sure We're looking for......BUT it's 'out there' somewhere.

Deep breath and get ready to face the possibilities that lie ahead......don't let fun blind side Ya....EXPECT IT!

Morning Hack. Back in the saddle at work this morning. It is 19F heading to 9F over night. They say three inches of snow - will report back on that later.

Window shopping is way more expensive than real shopping Hack - trust me, I do it all the time. It is amazing how quickly I can find something that I didn't know I needed and couldn't live with out.

Top of the morning Rick! Hope Y'er warm...

Window shopping is costly! I remember when I was a fervent 'yard sale/flea market' chaser......You could always find exactly what you weren't looking for, even if it wasn't something made for the intent you're going to buy it for now that you know you just can't possibly live without it.

Good mawnin’, Hack,
and all of TRT! How about cinnamon raisin toast with PB and nanners to get you started?

I love your thinking about thinking on whatever you might want what you go shopping.😂
Oh, and your temps are weird,

You got that right! If I ever go into a kitchen gadget shop
I am lost in there for a long time.

I ordered Vornado space heater to warm up the sunroom where Sophie’s cat tree resides. It is the perfect size and cool to the touch.
OT for me this morning. And then I don’t know what.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good morning Cath.....enjoy your OT.

Yup, and then buyer’s remorse sets in….
Yeah, we call that about a $600.00 remorse in our budget planning.....the cost of a dumpster to get rid of all that STUFF we packed our home full that we don't need, yet piles up over time. Had 4 of them so far since Jen and I became a thing.....and never in my life had My Family ever required one in the hmmmmmm, 30'ish years prior to that. We have grown past that costly hiccup in our lives........ignore the fact we're going out 'nibbing' today. * My Sister use to refer to this act as "NIB - 'POOPING'("Cleaned up here for our family friendly status")" 😁

The real danger for me is Kijiji - a Canadian used goods buy and sell site. I can surf on there and find something that is "free to a good home" but only a 4 hour drive away.

Good morning all.

I am intent on my minimalist life. Leigh shares it somewhat. However, the fridges and freezer are terrible. I am gutting them while the ladies are away at a spa, and promised no leftover shaming.

The good news is that it is headed to 9 tonight. That means the trash will not smell. Also, we have 8 inches of snow coming as a minimum. Leigh's house is in the crosshairs.

Lot of stress at work. We have a new product, and there is some angst all around. My solution is to do head down work at home and throw out some constructive red meat to discuss.

Enjoy your day.

Morning all,

Let’s not get started on “purging”, heheh… prob the king( said as if that is a good thing 🤔🙄) of “stuff” here. If I lived by the mantra of “if you have not worn it/used it in 6 months /a year, pitch it” the house /pole barn /3car garage etc would be noticeably “larger” inside. I try but does not always gets followed through, but I have my moments.

Chilly once again here, think it’s in the teens but sunny. The rock salt strewn on the driveway yesterday partly broke down the ice, but also Zamboni’d the ice making it more slickery, sigh.
While I can 4wd creep up to the road, I pity postal and package delivery folk that attempt a up n down of the drive. Have one bag o salt left, and might add some sand to the mix to add traction and ice breakdown .

3 long dawg vet visit this afternoon, added a third one to today’s appt. Since I felt it would be better to bring GSD King as a solo dog tomorrow and only have him to deal with at the vet . He tends to get “barky” when non pack critters are in the same area.
Originally it was 2 dawgs at a time to the vet. Three doxies are a easier combo than King and a Doxie to be named later.

Hit the pillow later than I had planned, was a bit past my normal and somehow the dawgs allowed me to sleep a bit past the usual time. I even got Max the long hair Doxie to settle back down and sleep another hr past his normal “it’s time Dad” hour.
This of course will mess with my internal day stuff clock, oh well .

On to the day,

Hope everyone has a great one!👍🏼

A 'long morning' trying to get UE straightened out.......more backed up.....hoops to jump thru.....less ways to contact....and even the computers don't seem to be speaking the same language 'English'.....since 'the world has changed'. Time to step back and go OUT.

Good afternoon!

Rick - I hope your first day back after several day ps off doesn’t undo the R&R you had going on.

Perry - That's the spirit - clean out the fridge and freezer without and snarky comments when Leigh and her daughter return. Life is much easier that way.

Ruh roe, Confession window shopping booth will be open at 5:00. Please wear a mask.

Ya got me, Hack. What’s UE?

Jeff - Yeah on Max letting you sleep in a bit this AM. Where does King fit in with the “wake up, Dad” routine every day?
I hear ya on how large rooms become once stuff is tossed out, donated, or given away. I may have run into that as I was cleaning out my house for the move.

Better get a move on with prohects

I am guessing UE is unemployment benefits Cath. The Captain is in dry dock at the moment.

The return to work was uneventful. A little I’ve 200 emails to paw through and about 7 of them were important. It is REALLY slow. The Casino closed for a while and the restaurant’s are all closed. There is really nothing to do here. We had 10 rooms occupied last night out of 405. We would usually be 50% during the week and 80% on weekends during winter pre COVID.

OUCH with those occupancy stats, Rick! That’s a huge drop.

Ah yes, that makes sense about the meaning of UE with Hack. I forget that every year.

Hack I hope UE in NJ is better than Ore, they added the covid bonus of $300 a week but it took 2-3 months to process then as butload of checks, people were geting way more than I get working for doing nothing, but now that they have brought back a "few:" state workers they reviewed it and want a lot of money back
