So thanks in advance for all input.. I have had 140 gallon reef system up and running for about 8 months I have learned a lot from my mistakes... now my question I am considering switching to led lighting because of heat and efficiency. I am currently run a 6 bulb t5 48 in fixture and a 36in t5 4 bulb fixture. My tank is 27 inches to the sand bed.. my question is how do I evaluate leds so I am not downgrading my current level of lighting.. I have found a xen-lux 120 watt led set up.. I'm thinking 2 of these and 1 additional fixture a 250 MH... does any one have any opnions on xen lux leds?

I made the switch and am so glad that I did. I run the Sol Super Blues from Aqua Illuminations. Fantastic lights. They have a page on their site about the specs and out put that is quite...well...illuminating.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about the xen-lux but if you compare their output to the Sol's and they are comprable then you will know the output is good.
