I don't think clowns ever do what we would like them to do. At first mine wouldn't host the anemone and when he did he decided to redecorate it and bit all the beautiful tips off. He is in a fowler now I felt bad for my pinky(haitian anemone) and decided to give it a break. Tenticles and tips are growing back nicely and is opening up again.
I have a mated pair of GSMs that host my slipper coral. They wont go near the anemone. I may have to move them or the coral to another tank because the slipper doent seem to like them much. That is, other than feeding time because the clowns feed the coral more than they feed themselves.
