I just ordered a calcium reactor and CO2 Tank. My LFS doesn't fill tanks. Does the tank need to be filled with pure CO2? My LFS suggested going to a sports supply store that sells paintball equipment. I don't know if they fill paintball tanks with compressed air, CO2, or a combination of the two.

you need to find a welding supply store.

Yea, I was able to find one. They said they would fill a 5 lb tank for $25. Sound about right?

I pay under $3 a pound, and that's for food grade CO2 (look for a local home brewing store, they should fill with a quality CO2). If you do a welding supply place, they have a lower quality CO2 (though probably nothing to be concerned about, I've used it in the past) and should be about $2 a pound or less.

Welding supply, fire extinguisher service company or beverage or homebrew supply stores all have CO2. i usually go to the local homebrew shop myself. Its about $13 for a 5lb fill and $20 a 10 lb fill around here.
