Chilly Sunday

Morning all,

First nite with Beau the Great Mountainees Doodle ,, started out noisy when his first night/time without his 11 little mates , in his crate. Think it was only 30-45 minutes of barking/bellyaching,, par for the course with pups.
So far 100% batting average on potty duty ,,
Luckily the pack goes outside fairly often, so he will get plenty of opportunities to figger out the routine.

Along with getting used to his new house/digs,,, he is scoring bonus points for doing a biggie in my head for dog stuff,,, lays at my feet.

Other dogs were mostly cool with a newb here,,, but they did give me a “hey, this ain’t one of those long dogs you bring here short term like before 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️”.
Max , the long hair long dog is prob the biggest cold shoulder of the pack,, he was not cool with a new dawg here,, but has gotten less snarky this far. Think the biggest part is that Max is REALLY bonded to me and thinks he is my favorite ( kinda sorta true,, but they all are, don’t tell him that🤫) Hence a bit of coldness/jealousy.

Have not checked in with Sis as to how her night went with Rumor, her new gal pup.

On to the day,. And imagine I will have to be the good dad and spend time with the pup , and let the bonding and assimilation blossom.

Jen's a stickler when it comes to 'dog breeds' since her 'grooming' days dealing with customers telling her what breed their dogs were ......and I love to rub THAT! 😁

That's what 3 cups of coffee will do to Ya.

We've come close in the past with the 'dog crazy' moniker Jeff ourselves...,.7 rescues turning Family members at once. Only got 3 now, and it feels 'wanting'. First time a GD pops up, we're THERE! 1 GD=several other types. 😁 Although Chloe appears to be a 'mini' Dane at about [email protected] 1 1'2 years old, compared to a standard GD that may be almost twice that.


Sure when Chole stands up and hugs me she looks 'down on me'......but a normal size one can just stand there on all 4's and pretty much do the same thing.
We 'rescued' Her because the previous owner was an 'apartment dweller' and kept her in a crate during the day while she was at work.....and pretty sure THAT stunted her.

NOW......
