Well I'll tell you, my trick...

I have a $40 microscope i have had for 15 years, all i do is get the slide where i want it, and get the camera lens right on top of the eyepiece and take the picture.

heck i have even used a microscope from ROSS, for like $10, and a cheap digital cam.

Well, I don't have a scope of any kind so that's out.
Anyway, I haven't had a response yet to my query on MOFIB but I'll let you know when I do get an answer, if an answer is possible.
Is there any way to get another picture with lighting from the top to show detail within the outline?
Also, compare what you see with your eyes to pictures of the mysids in the links I posted and see if they are similar.

That's unfortunate but can be remedied.
Go to your LFS and ask them if you can siphon some out of their holding tank that contains live rock.
You can siphon out from the bottom between rocks if you move the siphon end fast enough and have a strong siphon. Then pour through a net to capture, stirring the water to keep the mysids from clinging to the pail you use. Keep a little water to transport home and put the rest back in the rock tank.
Or, find another hobbyist near you that has mysids and siphon some out of their tank.
If you can get 5 to 10 then in a year or less you will have a density of them that the tank can hold.

i actually asked the lfs lady if they had mysis in their tanks n she started talking down to me about how they are a freshwater shrimp..... and i thought she was the more knowledgeable staff member, so if theres anyone in NWI with mysis in their tank, let me know

Mysids are what we have in our tanks and freshwater species are termed mysis even though they all fall under the same family basically.

Well if you have young ones that size then you obviously have to have adults in there also besides the one you took the picture of which is juvenile to adult stage based on your 75X scale.

moving the fish and corals is the easy part for me, but putting up and down the tanks is a real chunk of work, not only that but keeping all the stuff in buckets at a decent temp while you work out the swap.
