my banggai cardinalfish is at least 28 days into rearing his first brood. I was going to capture him and put him into a breeder net but catching him was impossible (this was an unexpected pregnancy!). So... I made a sea urchin out of a frag plug, a plastic intake piece and a bunch of toothpicks (I am quite proud of this little contraption) that I HOPE the babies will swim to when he releases them. That is my ONLY shot at possibly catching them inside the tank (and the intake piece is super glued to the frag plug so they can swim in but harder to swim out in HOPES of catching one or two or so of them).

Anyway, I have been brewing BBS for a weeks because i have been waiting for the release of the babies. Tonight when I put BBS into the main tank the papa fish seemed to let his babies eat the BBS that passed through his mouth. Hard to tell but here's a video. If anything they are super cute. I hope a few survive!

If anyone has advice on how I might be able to catch the male or the babies please let me know!
