This tube-thing has been growing for a long time. Hasn't seem to hurt anything, but its weird. There seems to be a critter that retracts if I get to close too, the thing you see with 2 feelers at the end of the tube.
That's a Vermetid snail. Pretty neat critters; have you seen it put out the mucus web yet to catch small particles of food? Watch the top of the tube though, they are as sharp as razors.
