I have a 75 gallon freshwater community tank. 9 angelfish in it. all seemed healthy for months ... but now one of them seems to have extended/enlarged purplish lips, and is having trouble eating. I took it out of the tank for a few days and dosed it with melafix and aquarium salt ... but it didn't seem to have an effect on it.

It tries to eat, but it looks like it can't aim correctly.

I put it back into the main tank because I don't know what else to do :(

I'm getting paranoid that some of the other angels also have it now.

Does anyone have any ideas?

With 9 angels in one tank, even 75 gallons it seems posible that it could be a result of fighting with another angel(most likely two males fighting)Angels will often lock lips when fighting over mating and teritory rights

Does it appear to be a mass of tissue or just swelling? A mass of tissue could indicate lip fibroma (a tumor). The only treatment I know of to cure it is surgery. Hopefully, its just a small battle would from lip locking though.
