Two years ago I came home to all my fish dead as well in my 55 gallon tank. I found a cracked thermometer and assume that they died because of that. Chances are slim that this is the case but just putting it out there. I don't think it would be an issue of establishing your tank after a few months but I'm not certain.

180g shouldn't have most of the issues that are talked about in the Sudden Mass Death Syndrome thread, but a few sound like they may be prevalent. Questions:

1. How long is a few months
2. What type of flow is in there
3. What are feeding and how often
3. What is your acclimation procedure
4. What order and in what timing have fish been added. Be specific
5. What type of water are you using
6. What is your maintenance routine, step by step...be specific down to how you mix and prep new salt water
7. What room is the tank located in
8. What cleaning products are used in the house
9. What type of gloves do you wear in the tank and/or what type of soap do you wash your hands with before going into the tank
10. Was the tank new or used
11. Did you add anything new to the tank recently such as a new powerhead, etc
