Hi All

Starting my new project.I am adding 140 gallon sump(two 70`s)to my main 120.Now how much live rock can I add to it once it is up and running and not throw it into a bad cycle?

Any advise on a return pump,Any ideas on what to add to the two sumps?I want one for micro and pod breeding
thanks

i think this has a lot to do with how "cured" the LR is. if it is truely cured then you could prolly put in as much as you want. if it is the normally cured then i would not go more than 1/2 of the total amount of LR you have now. if it is "fresh" LR then i would stay no more than 1/4 of the LR you have now.

i would not add another batch until you are sure the mini cycle if any has completed.

my .02,

G~
thanks

Thanks for the help. Now all I have to do is find some sd and a new return pump.and we are on the way :)
