My son of 9 years has endured more surgeries and pain than any parent could ask of any child. We thought we were on the up swing when visits to a group of doctors and surgeons on Friday revealed a number of medical issues that have sent us realing. He has been diagnosed with a heart murmer due to a malformed heart, potential constrictions of 2 aorta, definite scoliosis (sp?), pallette issues definitely requiring surgery and at least two oral surgeries that will be required to fix his jaw/teeth. A lot of bad news on a Friday for a young child and a single parent. I ask for prayers and positive thoughts during a most difficult time.

Thanks.

Phil;

I may be the first but I know I will not be the last to say a prayer for you and your son for strength and the grace to handle this difficult time. I know you will be there to love and comfort your son, but you may find unexpected strength and comfort from him as well. Children are remarkable and truly a gift.

Take good care of yourself so that you can take the best care of him. Please keep us updated on his progress. Do you mind if I ask your son's name?

Ohhhh, Phil! I'm so sorry to hear about Jordan. We are indeed family here at TRT and our collective prayers are right here with you.

May you find comfort knowing that coast to coast and beyond, folks are throwing their arms around you.

God's peace be with you.

Phil,

As a multiple child surgery survivor myself please accept my best wishes and prayers for Jordan and your family. With love and support children are the most resilient individuals and can survive hardships that adults have a hard time with and through it all children still continue to smile and laugh. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

wow. i'm so sorry phil. for jordan and for you. god listens. and with all of us praying, and i'm sure your other friends family, all will be ok in the end.

it's easy for an outsider to say it, but keep your chin up, and try to look on the bright side. we have some great doctors in this country, and medical science has grown by leaps and bounds. it may be a trying time. but it will be ok in the end.

you are both in my thoughts and prayers!

Thank you all for the prayers and support, all are deeply appreciated. Kids are resiliant and seem to handle these things better than parents do....I'm sure that will be the case here as well. Jordan is one super kid who has persevered despite the odds against him.

Again, my warmest thanks to you all.

Phil
