LOLThe sand could have remninents in it still if the system befor had any copper or phosphates the sand will hold it I would reccomend biting new sand ryoria has Fourty pound bags of sea floor special I think otherwise I should be acid washed and bleached
Quick answer... No... IMO not worth the risk.quick question can i use the old sand from the 75 system? i have let it set in the cold for a couple days(figured it would kill almost everything alive in it good and bad) and gonna give it a massive rinse. will i be safe after the rinse to use and sustain coral. all rock will come from my other system.
ok kool im getting some more and i have some rock im sure is phosphate filled how can i get it out. its been dry for 2 years but it come from a fowlr tank with improper lights.
thats why it isnt full of water but it looks like 20 long will have to do.as im getting impatient with it. my reason for wanting a lil bigger is for skimmer, return, refuge after i break it down into 3 sections i dont have much room at all.Good luck. The standard doors on a 75gal stand do not admit anything larger than a 20 long. If you want to get one larger under the stand, you will likely have to put the sump in through the top of the stand before you put the tank on the stand.
What size footprint can you use? I'll look and see what I have.thats why it isnt full of water but it looks like 20 long will have to do.as im getting impatient with it. my reason for wanting a lil bigger is for skimmer, return, refuge after i break it down into 3 sections i dont have much room at all.
something close to 36x12(roughly) which is a hard footprint to find except the 40 tall which is a bit to tall. thanks timmyWhat size footprint can you use? I'll look and see what I have.
