I'm just wondering if anyone as seen one running, used one, or knows anything good or bad about them. I was looking at getting a 55 gallon Jet-Stream system and using a CAP2200 as a return from a sump. It is made by Marineland and has a Perfecto tank.

never seen one at work, but have seen them and they look like a good idea. don't know if I would do a saltwater tank in it or not, once all those little slits get clogged up you might have problems, but then again maybe not

never heard of a CAP pump, who sells those?

Well that's what I thought too about the little slits. CAP pumps are really nice. They are a reasonably priced and silent. I paid like 23 or something for my CAP400 which I have had no problem with for about 4 months or so that I've had it. Premier Pets has them. If you talk to Chris (manager) you can usually save a couple dollars. Wanted 140 for that 55, offered him 90.

CAP pumps work.. but they dont really have much head pressure.. so you gotta watch how far you plan on pumping uphill..

The CAP2200 is rated for 800GPH which then with a 3 foot head gives me 550. Exactly what I need for 10X.
